Tachomphu Bridge

It is different from other railway bridges because it is a reinforced concrete structure, 87.3 meters long, which is strange and challenging because railway bridges are usually made of steel because it can withstand vibrations and is more flexible. However, at the time the bridge was built, it was a state of war and steel could not be found to build the bridge. However, with excellent calculations and supervision, the Thachampoo Bridge is still in use today. Thachampoo Bridge crosses the Tha River and passes through an open field with beautiful scenery. Those traveling by train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai will arrive at this bridge early in the morning, about 1 hour before reaching Chiang Mai Province, which is the point where the train has passed the complex mountain range and is close to its destination.
