It is located on Doi Kong Mu. 📌 Important highlights: The large pagoda of Wat Phra That Dong Kong Mu was built by a Shan merchant named "Chong Tong Su" in 1860. It is a Mon-style pagoda decorated with stucco patterns. It has an octagonal base with three layers. The lower base is decorated with niches in the eight directions. The small pagoda of Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu was built in 1874 by "Phaya Singhanatracha", the first ruler of Mae Hong Son, as a souvenir of his ascension to the throne of Mae Hong Son. It enshrines the relics of Phra Moggallana Thera, which were brought from Burma. It is a Mon-style pagoda with a square base with three layers. The four corners of the base are decorated with stucco lions. The lower base is decorated with niches in Mon art style. The main niche has a roof decorated with three spires. Each spire is in the shape of a three-tiered castle.
