When evening falls, tourists can stroll through the **Evening Market by the Lake**, located in the heart of Mae Hong Son. The atmosphere around the lake is tranquil yet lively with vendors selling local foods such as Khao Soi, Sai Ua, fried pork, and traditional sweets. This market is a popular spot to taste local cuisine and buy souvenirs. In the evening, you can enjoy the view of Chong Kham Temple and Chong Klang Temple by the lake, with their reflections creating a serene and beautiful scene. This location was used in the film 'Viman Nam' for the ordination scene. Afterwards, you can head up to **Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu**, an ancient temple situated on a hill. Built in 1860 by Phra Utta Ma, a Burmese monk, to enshrine the Buddha's relics, the second stupa was added later. Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu is a symbol of Mae Hong Son and a center of Buddhist faith. Upon reaching the temple, you will be treated to a panoramic view of Mae Hong Son, surrounded by lush green mountains. You can see the entire town and the lake below, or enjoy the city lights at night, making this one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Mae Hong Son.
