The garden is located at the foothill of Guia Hill. It is Macau's largest public park. The European-style Flora Garden is situated at the base of Guia Hill parallel to Avenida Sidónio Pais. It was formerly the grounds of the Flora Palace, an aristocratic Portuguese mansion. The garden also features formal flowerbeds and a stone pathway that winds upward, past small waterfalls and belvederes, to the top of Guia Hill, the highest point in Macau. According to Chinese culture, it’s considered an area with good “feng shui”. Flora Garden includes a small area with animals, ideal for kids to visit and have fun. There’s also a beautiful lake in the middle, before heading up the hill. This is one of Macau’s oldest gardens and also most frequented by both locals–looking to relax or exercise–and tourists. It’s also the place where one takes the cablecar leading to the start of Guia Hill. The garden is close to Flora and José da Costa Nunes kindergartens. Opening hours: Daily, 6:00am–00:00am
