Macau CityWalk Route Recommendations

Today I would like to introduce you to a very interesting Macau street, CityWalk line, walk, eat and take photos, and experience Macau’s unique fusion of Chinese and Western style! Starting from the "Green Hotel" at No. 21, Arch Road, Macau Peninsula, where we stayed, we focused on leisurely strolls, historical culture and the atmosphere of the city. We didn't go back the whole way and had a full experience👇 📍Route Overview Green Hotel (Macau Peninsula Arch Road) ➡️ Lou Lim Ieoc Garden ➡️ Fire Museum ➡️ Ruins of St. Paul’s ➡️ Love Lane ➡️ Senado Square ➡️ Back to hotel ⏰Estimated time: 4-5 hours (including taking photos, resting, and eating) 📍Main attractions address: 🌟The Ruins of St. Paul’s: At the foot of the Fort Hill in the Parish of Faou, Macau Peninsula, at the intersection of Rua do St. Paul’s and Alques do St. Paul’s. 🌟Senado Square: in front of the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau building, Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, Central District, Macau Peninsula (opposite No. 163 Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro). 🌞Morning: From the tranquility of gardens to historical exploration Departure: Green Hotel (Arch Road, Macau Peninsula) We set off around 9 am and have a Portuguese breakfast at the hotel first (try the pork chop bun + milk tea, full of energy!). Stop 1: Lou Lim Ieoc Park (about 10 minutes’ walk) The only Suzhou Garden in Macau! Small bridges, flowing water, rockery pavilions ~ Feed the koi fish on the Nine-Curve Bridge and feel the tranquility in the bustling city. There are also mini bamboo forests and Lingnan-style buildings in the park, which are perfect for a slow and relaxing time. Stop 2: Fire Museum (about 8 minutes walk) Walk west from Lou Lim Ieoc Garden and pass Avenida da Il Bosco Wong. Along the way are colorful Portuguese buildings. Take some photos of the street scenes! The museum is small but full of treasures! It displays century-old fire trucks, vintage equipment, and can also simulate fire alarms. There are interactive games on the second floor, and it’s fun to learn about Macau’s firefighting history! 🍜Noon: Walk through the streets and eat in the old city Stop 3: Ruins of St. Paul’s (about 15 minutes’ walk) Walk along Liansheng Street from the Fire Museum to the Ruins of St. Paul's, passing the Nezha Temple and the Old City Wall Ruins along the way, and the sense of history will hit you! Find the "best camera position" on the right side steps of the Ruins of St. Paul's and take great photos away from the crowds! Visit the "Museum of Catholic Art" behind the archway and see religious relics for free! 🌟Lunch recommendation: "Yong Kee Tofu Noodles" at the foot of the Ruins of St. Paul's. The tofu pudding is tender and smooth, and a portion of "Curry Beef Offal" is super satisfying! Stop 4: Love Lane (next to the Ruins of St. Paul’s, 2 minutes’ walk) A 50-meter-long pink alley with couple graffiti and Portuguese tiles on the walls, it is extremely romantic! At the "Love Cinema" cafe at the end of the alley, order a latte, sit by the window, and watch people coming and going, it's super healing! 🌇Afternoon: Square culture and city life Stop 5: Senado Square (about 5 minutes’ walk) Walking south from Love Lane, the black and white wavy floor tiles and yellow and white Portuguese buildings make you feel like you have traveled to Europe! 🌟 Recommended places to eat and shop: Double skin milk from Yishun Dairy Company (rich in milky flavour!) and almond biscuits and meat jerky from Ju Ji Souvenirs as souvenirs. 🌙Evening: Leisurely return journey, reminiscing about the time Return to hotel (about 15 minutes walk or take bus) Walking back to the hotel from Senado Square along the "New Road", passing by the "General Post Office Building" and "Our Lady of the Rosary Church", the light yellow exterior walls under the sunset are so gentle~ 🌟Lazy option: Take the bus (MT4) at the "Place de Amaral" stop next to the square and get to the hotel in 10 minutes. 💡Tips: Make your CityWalk more perfect 🌟 Outfit suggestion: comfortable sneakers! The old town of Macau has many cobblestone roads and ups and downs. 🌟Photo taking time: 9-11am and 4-6pm when the light is the softest, and it’s easier to take photos when there are fewer people at the Ruins of St. Paul’s and Love Lane!
