#MacauAttractions St. Anthony's Church, also known as the Flower King Church, is located in St. Anthony Parish in Macau, China. It was built in 1558 and is one of the three oldest churches in Macau. The exterior of St. Anthony's Church is made of water-brushed stone with a simple form, reflecting the neoclassical style; the main facade is asymmetrical, dominated by horizontal lines, highlighting the main entrance in the center. The interior adopts brick and wood structure, elliptical wooden arch, sloping roof on wooden frame and tile roof. The mezzanine floor is a reinforced concrete structure. The main altar is in Baroque style. There is only a bell tower on the left side of St. Anthony's Church, and the pediment is decorated with icons. In the past, Portuguese weddings were mostly held here. The believers all wore white robes and held flower branches in their hands, so it is also known as the "Flower King Church". It is one of the most famous churches in Macau. There is a quiet and solemn atmosphere that comes with the church. It is worth a visit.
