Macao's Michelin-starred chef opens British restaurant

There are many negative reviews online, saying that the food quality is average and the reputation is not what it seems. But we didn’t have the chance to experience it in person then, so we decided to try it during this trip to Macau. The Macau restaurant is in the style of a British pub and steakhouse. It is located in the Londoner Macao, which is full of British feelings. The spacious space and towering ceiling are very comfortable. The oval bar area in the center of the restaurant combines traditional British style with modern design elements, making it a first-class check-in. The various art displays are full of British style, and the paintings on the walls and the special booths make the environment really nice. 🌟Beef Wellington $498 (Mushrooms, black truffle puree, onions, creamed potatoes, red wine sauce) There are many negative reviews online saying that the steak Wellington made in Hong Kong restaurants has its crust separated from the steak, which makes it look a bit out of place and separated, but the steak Wellington made in Macau does not have this problem. The meat was very soft. Although it was 30% cooked, there was no blood or bloody taste. Instead, the beef was very tender. The taste was just right with the puff pastry and black truffle mushrooms. However, for some reason, Parma ham was not added. The taste is not too salty, maybe it’s because the portion is not big, but it actually tastes really good. We also ordered a three-course lunch. Includes appetizer, main course and dessert. $328 The bread before the meal was hot and soft, and it was good with butter. Appetizer 🌟Hamami tartare Hamachi, beetroot, cream Compared with the beef tartare, the taste of the Hamachi Tartare is really average. It may be a taste problem. I personally don’t like beetroot very much, so I feel like I ordered the wrong dish. main course 🌟Risotto (Pumpkin, Mushroom, Sage Butter) This risotto is of standard quality, but there is no surprise, but it is still good. Dessert 🌟Sticky Toffee Pudding (French cheese cream, vanilla ice) This is a must-order. The taste of the pudding is very prominent. On the other side was cold vanilla ice cream, which was both cold and frozen, quite a surprise! But to be honest, the only things I appreciated the most were the beef tenderloin and the dessert. The other food was just average. However, for such a famous restaurant, the prices were not as expensive as one might imagine and were quite reasonable, so it is also a recommended restaurant.
