Macau World Heritage, take a look at this Zheng Family Mansion. The Zheng Family Mansion was the family residence of Zheng Guanying, a famous figure in modern Chinese history, and the world-renowned 'Words of Warning in Times of Prosperity' was completed here. The construction was initiated by Zheng Guanying's father, Zheng Wenrui. Subsequently, the Zheng brothers expanded the scale continuously, and the construction period should be before the eighth year of the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty (1869). The Zheng Family Mansion now covers an area of nearly 4,000 square meters and is the largest existing private residential complex in Macau. The architectural features fully reflect the characteristics of the combination of Chinese and Western cultures in Macau. In the 1920s and 1930s, due to the Zheng family members living in different places, many parts of the mansion were rented out, at one point housing seventy-two tenants. Many parts of the building were modified or added on to, and due to a long period of lack of maintenance, some structures collapsed. In 2001, the Macau cultural authorities, with the assistance of architectural restoration experts and former residents, restored it to its original appearance. After the renovation, the original features of the building were basically restored.
