Macao | The Taipa Houses-Museum and the surrounding wetlands

🚗 The Taipa Houses-Museum is a thematic museum dedicated to cultural heritage, located on the seaside road of Taipa Island. It covers an area of about 2,500 square meters, with an exhibition area of about 500 square meters. It is situated behind The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel, not far from Rua do Cunha, and can be visited together with Rua do Cunha. 🚗 The wetland area of the Taipa Houses-Museum spans 115,000 square meters and is Macao's most significant natural freshwater wetland. Despite its unassuming appearance, the wetland's edge near the Grand Taipa Hill is a forest area exceeding 19,000 square meters with dense vegetation, attracting a large number of egrets for nesting and breeding. This is one of Macao's unique landscapes, and this wetland is also known as 'Egret's Forest'. 🚗 It might be the only green space around the casino area, and it takes about 20 minutes to walk there from Sheraton. It's closer to Rua do Cunha, and to be honest, it's not very distinctive. You'll see locals coming here to walk their dogs. There's a small garden, and next to it is a lake, which you might want to visit when you go to Rua do Cunha.
