The Gangding Theater, founded in 1860, was originally called the Peter V Theater. It is the first Western-style theater in China. It was an important place for the Portuguese community to gather in the past. The building exterior is painted green, with white trim, dark green doors and windows and a red roof The theater has a vestibule, and high-hanging ancient crystal chandeliers add a magical and rich artistic atmosphere. In the performance hall, the audience seats are arranged in an oyster shell shape, set with 276 seats, comfortable and spacious.
