Liuzhou-Zhongdu Ancient Town, Luzhai County

Zhongdu Ancient Town, a low-key but charming place, is located 26 kilometers northwest of Luzhai County, Liuzhou City. Although most of the ancient town are renovated antique buildings, it still retains many old buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Republic of China, and the early days of liberation, such as the Guangdong Guild Hall, the former site of the county government of the Republic of China, the old cinema, the Cultural Museum, major shops, etc. It is worth taking a closer look to experience the simplicity and elegance of the blue bricks, gray tiles and wooden frames. However, I personally think that the most worthwhile places to visit in the ancient town are the four docks, where villagers are pounding and washing clothes and fishermen are casting nets to catch fish. It is surrounded by green trees and green water. When the sun shines through the huge banyan tree and onto the mottled bluestone pavement, the breeze blows and the leaves whisper, each shot is a tranquil picture, which is well worth staying a while longer.
