Brilliant Buddhas

Went here with a local guide to ensure we learnt all the history behind this place. Went after New Year to avoid the crowds and was not too busy. The history is impressive and the caves have been well preserved and not over renovated, unlike some other Chinese tourist sites. Access is well managed and you can get up close to the Buddhas without damaging them. Pleasant walk along the river. A good day out.
