Longyou! The perfect hidden gem for a weekend getaway. We barely saw any other tourists over the two days. 2 hours by high-speed rail from Shanghai to Longyou. Leave work on Friday and wake up in the mountains on Saturday. It's so therapeutic!! What's a work week? The best part is!! Kids can stay for free at the hotel this year. I'm so grateful. I booked a river view room at the Lingqi Nature Hotel. It's beautiful and has a Thai vacation vibe. (Seems like the owner knows the Thai market well. The other Lingqi Secret Hotel is probably owned by the same person.) There's a coffee shop in the hotel's wheat field. It's so relaxing to have a coffee and read a book in the wheat field. If it's not too hot, you can rent a bike and go for a ride~ PS: I paid to stay at the Radisson in Gumei the next day. It was also very good. Very few people, very beautiful scenery.
