Longnan, Gansu

⭐️ The southernmost city of Gansu—Longnan. It is often referred to as "Jiangnan on the Loess Plateau." From Guangyuan to Longnan, one crosses from Sichuan into Gansu, and the terrain undergoes a noticeable change. Due to its proximity to the Qinling Mountains, the area is not only graceful but also carries the grandeur and desolation of the northwest. ⭐️ The Jiezhou night market and morning market are very delicious, a dazzling treasure trove of food streets. At night, there are barbecues, clay pot dishes, milk egg fermented rice soup, fried pancakes, spicy hot pot... and in the morning, there are stirred mung bean jelly, cold skin noodles, roujiamo... There are so many delicious foods that one cannot finish them all, the prices are not expensive, the portions are generous, and there are few tourists, mostly locals eating. ⭐️ After visiting the night market, you can go to the riverside to see the night view. The Bailong River covered bridge is very photogenic at night, and there is also a riverside park where many people take walks. If you want to overlook the entire city, you can go to Wudu Nanshan Park. ⭐️ The "Longnan City Museum" seems to have just opened recently, open from Tuesday to Sunday 9:00-17:00 (entry stops at 16:30, closed on Mondays). You can enter with your ID card, there are few people, but it is very worthwhile to visit, especially the first exhibition hall where you can take your time. There are also several interactive mini-games, and the Longnan City Museum's cultural relics matching game is very fun.
