The Audley Public House

was really looking forward to my visit here, and the pub's fine in itself. It lacks a bit of atmosphere though. It has the big heavy wood furniture which I like, but it was a bit too bright, the furniture a bit too standard and the paint job on the ceiling didn't quite fit. It's hard to put my finger on it but my expectation was a smaller more intimate and cosy pub which this place is not. There's nothing wrong with it really and I'd go again but it's probably better with a group of friends rather than when passing through briefly on a solo visit.
