If you would have definitely see it before in either news or TV as this is commonly used for ceremonial occasions, such as royal weddings, funerals, coronations and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games! I would recommend best time to go is when there is Guard Mounting at Buckingham Palace, as the road will be usually closed and you can be able to take picture at the road with the Admiralty Arch.
