Set amid an appealing tropical garden on the popular southeastern stretch of the island, the Beach House Resort offers a range of rooms to suit a variety of budgets. Lower-category rooms are ideal for budget-seekers, while two-bedroom units with private pools appeal to honeymooners. Rooms are separated by a dirt road from the restaurant and beach, and the atmosphere is relaxed and quiet on-site. Unfortunately, while the hotel's design is bright, attractive, and beachy, some spaces are showing wear. The resort is looking to spruce these spaces up during renovations that are ongoing until June 2019, but this means guests won't have access to the lovely common pool. Travelers may want to wait to visit until after refurbishments are finished, or book a room with a private plunge pool. This beachfront resort offers a quiet, laid-back island atmosphere on Gili Air -- about as away-from-it-all as you can get in Indonesia. Buildings throughout are crafted of local materials such as bamboo and recycled wood, and the resort aims to preserve the local biodiversity with practices such as saving and reusing natural resources like rainwater. This hotel is a popular spot for divers, as well as other tourists looking for a relaxed island getaway. Many guests are European couples and honeymooners, but families also stay here to take advantage of the spacious family cottages. Danima Resort & Restaurant has a lovely beachfront location on a property bursting with beautiful green trees and plants. While it calls itself a resort, it’s more like a boutique property with limited amenities. Opened in 2009, the hotel is comprised of white and blue buildings with paths that lead to the rooms, restaurant, and pool. There’s not a traditional lobby, but an outdoor reception desk faces the beach next to the restaurant. The open-air restaurant is a lovely affair from the black and white tiled floors to the wooden tables and chairs that sit under a tall roof. For something a bit more romantic, guest can book one of the tables on the beach, lit at night by lanterns in the trees. Couples are the main clientele and can be seen intermingling in the restaurant at breakfast. #createwithtrip #staycation

The interiors at Jambuluwuk Oceano Resort are rather understated. The main highlight is its beautiful tropical, beachfront setting. Outside, the grounds are lush with sparkling blue swimming pools surrounded by shady tropical trees, with enough surrounding sun loungers for guests to relax. There's also a large yacht replica which houses the sports bar, bringing in a fun element. The main restaurant, The Club House, is also set outside, mostly near the beach. The lobby is mostly open-air and includes a few spots to sit, and a big billiards table in the center. Overall, the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxed, attracting guests happy to be away from the island's busy party scene -- making this a popular spot for families and honeymooners.
