Baitian Village Ancient Stone Bridge and Mountain Fort Stone Gate

In late November, the early winter in Guilin is still as cool and pleasant as late autumn. There is an ancient stone bridge on the edge of Baitian Village, which is small and quaint. An old tree by the bridge has lost all its leaves just after the beginning of winter, leaving only a few withered old branches stretching out to the sky. The old people in the village said that the stone mountain behind the village used to be the territory of bandits, and now only four fort gates remain in the mountain depression, so I went to see them. After climbing the mountain behind the village for less than ten minutes, I saw the first stone fort gate, which is well preserved. The city wall spreads its wings and blocks the mountain road, which is the main gate. After passing this gate, you will enter a gentle mountain depression, where there are weeds and red firethorn trees everywhere. The mountain people call it small hawthorn, which can help digestion and lower blood pressure, blood sugar, and blood lipids. After climbing up the mountain depression again, the ancient stone road extends to the second stone fort gate, which is the most dangerous. It is piled up with stones on the edge of the cliff on one side of the mountain, and the top of the gate is sealed with a large bluestone slab. Looking down from the mountain road, it is a perfect place for defense. Looking down from this fort gate, the distant mountains are like ink, and the scenery is extremely beautiful. After another 20 minutes of mountain road, you will reach the third fort gate, which has two stone strips collapsed to block the entrance, and weeds grow in the stone cracks on the gate. The mountain road is no longer visible, and the road condition is unknown, so I had to turn back, and I don't know where the fourth fort gate is hidden in the mountain.
