Lindau on Lake Constance: A tour of the lakeshore and the old town

Lindau is a small town located on Lake Constance in Germany. It used to be a fishing town in the area with a history of more than a thousand years. It is now the starting point of the Alpine Street in Germany's tourist route. Most travelers don't come here from Munich because the old town is very small and can be visited in about two hours, but it is also about a two-hour drive from Munich. I started from Dornbirn, Austria, and it only took 20 minutes by train to get there, which was very convenient. The most famous landmarks of Lindau are the new lighthouse on the shore of Lake Constance and the statue that symbolizes Bavaria: the Lion of Bavaria, which is about a five-minute walk from the train station. The old town of this town is on a small island, and it only takes ten minutes to walk from the train station at the west end to the east side. Since this lake is at the border of Switzerland, Germany and Austria, you can see the two countries on the other side if the weather is good.
