Lijiang｜A Lazy Guide to Yunshanping and Blue Moon Valley

🔺Prerequisites: Since we failed to get tickets for the cable car in Glacier Park, we only bought tickets for Yunshanping (tickets must be purchased on the [Lijiang Tourism Group] mini program one week in advance, and one person can purchase multiple tickets). The time period we chose is from 10:00 to 10:30. — 🔺Transportation🚗: We chose to take a taxi from Lijiang Ancient Town to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Tourist Service Center (remember⚠️don’t take a taxi to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain ticket office). — Tickets: When the Didi driver drops us off at the entrance of the scenic spot, staff will ask us to scan the mountain entrance fee (100 yuan per person for adults, half price for students, children and seniors; free for active and retired military personnel). Remember to purchase the cable car ticket for Yunshanping through the mini program! — 🔺Take the cable car🚡: After getting off the bus, go up the stairs to the Tourist Service Center and you will see the Yunshanping bus stop (you can follow the signs). Remember to check the time period you purchased. The staff will scan your ID card and you can take the bus (the bus is included in the ticket). It will take about ten minutes to reach the Yunshanping Cableway and you can queue up to take the cable car up the mountain. — 🔺To Yunshanping⛰️: After getting off the cable car, you can walk forward (there are signs) and enter the spruce forest. There are many dead trees on the left and right to take pictures. Just walk to the front and you can see the snow-capped mountains! It’s really spectacular. If you think there are too many people taking pictures at the railing, you can walk a little to the sides where there are fewer people! — 🔺Blue Moon Valley💦: Return along the original route, take the cable car back to the entrance of Yunshanping Cableway, wait for the free bus of the scenic area, and take the bus to Blue Moon Valley Shuiyue Pavilion Station (⚠️From Yunshanping to Blue Moon Valley, just take one stop to [Blue Moon Valley Shuiyue Pavilion Station], the voice will announce it 📣), otherwise you will end up at the foot of the mountain if you don’t get off the bus! Because the scenic spot has modified its site! ✅It is recommended that you go to Blue Moon Valley at noon or in the afternoon. The water is sparkling in the sun, which is super beautiful! — 🔺Back down the mountain: Wait for the free bus from the Blue Moon Valley boarding point and take it directly to the foot of the mountain (you can get off at parking lots 1 and 2🅿️, or you can get off directly at parking lot 3⚠️. From parking lot 3, you can take bus 101 back to the ancient city). — Notes⚠️: Yunshanping is 3,240 meters above sea level.
