A less crowded Lijiang Ancient Town is a dream come true!

When Lijiang Ancient Town is less crowded, it's a dream come true. Without the crowds, it looks just like the ancient town I imagined. Take a slow walk, look up, and you'll see blue skies and snow-capped mountains. It's super relaxing. However, it's still very commercialized, so I did have some bad experiences. Here, I'll share the travel guide I spent a long time making. I hope it helps you too. Transportation Plane: Land at Lijiang Sanyi Airport, then take the airport bus to the south gate of Lijiang Ancient Town. It takes about 40 minutes and costs CNY 20 per person. Train: After arriving at the train station, take bus No. 4 to Zhongyi Market, which is near the ancient town. Ancient Town Tour Route Follow the route below to avoid backtracking and see all the highlights. Zhongyi Market → Mufu Palace → Sanyan Well → Wangu Tower → Lion Hill → Big Waterwheel → Dayan Huaxiang → Wuyi Street and Dashiqiao Bridge → Sifang Street
