I took a trip to Lijiang, Yunnan in April, and I must say, it's quite nice to visit Yunnan at this time of the year. It's when the flowers are blooming, and there aren't too many tourists. Initially, I chose the InterContinental Hotel next door, but sometimes I thought such hotels could be a bit boring, so I switched to Lishi. Pros: If you book a suite, it can be said to be a low-end version of Aman (close to the ancient town, local minimalist construction, a variety of activities, delicious coffee, and you can even take a bath). Cons: Because it really is just a courtyard, it feels like returning to the village of my childhood. If someone passes by and talks loudly downstairs, you can hear it upstairs.
