Trip to litchfield

My trip to Lichfield Cathedral was nothing short of magical. As I approached the grand building, the three towering spires immediately caught my eye, standing tall against the sky. They’re often called the "Ladies of the Vale," and I could see why—there’s something graceful yet commanding about them. Stepping inside, I was struck by the sheer beauty of the place. The vaulted ceilings seemed to soar endlessly above me, and the light streaming through the stained glass windows painted the interior in soft, colorful hues. I spent some time admiring the Herkenrode Glass in the Lady Chapel—it’s incredible to think that these intricate panes have survived for centuries. Wandering through the cathedral, I felt a deep sense of peace. Every corner seemed to tell a story, from the ancient stone carvings to the memorials tucked away in quiet alcoves. I even paused for a moment of reflection in the choir stalls, letting the history of the place sink in. Outside, I took a walk around the cathedral grounds, enjoying the views of Lichfield and the surrounding countryside. The air was crisp, and the peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect spot to just breathe and take it all in. Visiting Lichfield Cathedral wasn’t just a trip—it was an experience that stayed with me long after I left.
