Libo Xiaoqikong: A Natural Wonder

This is a national AAAAA level scenic spot and also a world natural heritage! 🌟 The name of the scenic area comes from a small seven-hole ancient bridge built in the 15th year of Daoguang (1836). This ancient bridge is not only the symbol of the scenic area, but also has a beautiful legend. 🌹 According to the legend, the small seven-hole bridge was the end point of a couple who loved each other but could not be together. When they came to the bridge, they were blocked by the raging river. When they were preparing to jump into the river and die for love, seven fairies were moved by their true love and transformed into a seven-hole bridge to help them. 🧚‍♀️ The fairy told them that this bridge embodies the power of time and fate. Every step they take, they will age a bit, representing a year they have passed. When they walked through the seven holes, they were old, but it also meant that they had spent a lifetime together. In the end, on the seven-hole bridge, the couple walked hand in hand, without regrets. 💑 In addition to the small seven-hole bridge, there are other beautiful attractions in the scenic area, such as the Tonggu Bridge. 🛤️ Tonggu Bridge is located at the east gate of Xiaoqikong Scenic Area, spanning the Zhangjiang River. It was built in 1993 and rebuilt in 2001. The ends of the bridge are designed in the shape of Yao Mountain's bronze drum, hence the name Tonggu Bridge.
