Travel: The Mountains and Seas of Liandao Island

Before the cold wave hit over the weekend, I took another trip to Liandao Island in Lianyungang. Fewer people, beautiful scenery, fully experiencing the charm of the mountains and sea. The last time I visited Liandao was at the end of August, which was the peak season on the island. The beach was packed with people filling the shore like ducks. Because it was so hot, we didn’t have the leisure to walk along the coastal boardwalk. In the off-season, the ticket price is 30 yuan, and the coastal boardwalk is open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The boardwalk stretches from Dasha Bay all the way to Suma Bay, covering 2.5 kilometers. There are stairs going up and down along the way, and viewing platforms where you can sit and rest facing the sea. This time, we started from Dasha Bay and walked to the pavilion shown in photo 5, then returned the same way, taking about 2 hours in total. There were very few people in the off-season. We entered around 10:30 AM and on the way encountered one group of foreign tourists, two family groups with children, and two couples. It was truly a wonderful experience with very few people around.
