Dai "Little Forbidden City" - Nandian Pacification Office in Lianghe County

Visited the Tusi Office in Lianghe. The Tusi culture here is very unique! Travelers with time can take a look. Nandian Pacification Office, commonly known as the Tusi Yamen, is located in Lianghe County, Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan. The office was built by three generations over 84 years, from the first year of the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty (1851) to the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), covering an area of 10,625 square meters, with a building area of 7,780 square meters. Its architectural complex is large in scale, ranking among the top Tusi offices in the country, hence the name "Little Forbidden City" of the Dai people. The entire architectural complex is divided into 4 main courtyards and 10 side courtyards, with 47 buildings and 149 rooms, including the main hall, second hall, third hall, and main hall, with one entrance and four courtyards, rising step by step, with thick beams and large columns, blue tile roofs, simple and elegant, majestic and solemn. It is a well-preserved ethnic minority Tusi office in western Yunnan, reflecting the Tusi system and historical and cultural background, and is an important physical material for studying the history of ethnic minorities in Yunnan, local history, Tusi system, and architectural technology and art. In 1996, Nandian Pacification Office was announced by the State Council as the fourth batch of national key cultural relics protection units, and the national protection monument here is quite distinctive.
