National Key Cultural Relic Preservation Site—Lizhou Confucian Temple

The existing buildings were constructed during the reign of Daoguang (1841–1844) in the Qing Dynasty. Covering an area of 8,000 square meters with a building area of 2,000 square meters, all buildings adopt the traditional Chinese wooden frame structure. The complex extends along a north-south axis with symmetrical layouts. From south to north, there are six main structures: the main gate, the Zhuangyuan Bridge, the Lingxing Gate, the Dacheng Gate, the Dacheng Hall, and the Chongsheng Ancestral Hall. In front of the Dacheng Hall, there is a terrace, east and west wing rooms, a bell tower, and a drum tower. The layout is rigorous, with interconnected corridors and eaves. The exquisite wood carvings and stone inscriptions demonstrate high historical and artistic value. On March 5, 2013, Lizhou Confucian Temple was designated as a National Key Cultural Relic Preservation Site by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. 📌Tips: There is a parking lot in front of the Confucian Temple.
