Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery, Gandan Monastery is also known as the three major temples of Lhasa. It is about 8 kilometers away from the urban area of Lhasa. There is a bus that can be reached. Tibetan means Qi Mi Temple or Ji Mi Temple. With more than 10,000 people, it has 141 manors and more than 540 pastures. It is the largest temple in Tibetan Buddhism. When the Spring Festival last year coincided with the Tibetan New Year, many local Tibetans went to the Drepung Monastery to pay homage. Some of them held hot water bottles on their hands, and the hot water bottles contained ghee. When they pilgrimage in the main hall, they poured the ghee in the thermos. It is best to raise it in the butter lamp. When going to Drepung Monastery, it is best to prepare a HKD of RMB, and put a hair in front of each Bodhisattva, which is a support for yourself.
