Just looking at it made my mouth water. One bite, and the crispy skin gave way to juicy, tender duck meat. The sweet flavor exploded in my mouth, sweet but not greasy, fragrant to the bone. I just grabbed it from a random roadside shop, half a duck for only 20 or 30 yuan. It was a huge portion, more than enough for one person. I just munched on it as I walked, couldn't stop. Qiaojiao Beef 🥘: Savory, warm, and comforting, love at first bite You can't miss Qiaojiao Beef in Leshan! The beef is cooked just right in a big pot, tender, smooth, and melts in your mouth. The broth is even more amazing, clear but incredibly savory, said to be carefully simmered with beef bones. Dip it in some dry chili mix, and the spicy flavor blends perfectly with the delicious beef. A bite of beef, a sip of hot soup, and you're all warmed up. For 30 or 40 yuan per person, you can eat your fill. The value is unbeatable. Bobo Chicken 🍢: Skewer freedom, double the happiness Leshan's Bobo Chicken is unlike any I've had before! All kinds of ingredients are skewered on bamboo sticks and soaked in chili oil. Each skewer is coated in rich broth, just looking at it makes your appetite soar. Tender chicken, crispy chicken gizzards, fresh vegetables, every bite is spicy, savory, and fragrant, totally addictive. And the price is super cheap, just a few cents per skewer, meat or vegetables. Grab a big handful for only a dozen yuan. Skewer freedom is so easy, so happy! Tofu Pudding 🧠: Delicate texture, rich layers A bowl of tofu pudding for breakfast is the perfect way to start your Leshan journey. The tofu pudding has a super delicate texture, melts in your mouth, and is topped with all sorts of seasonings: crispy fried dough, fragrant crushed peanuts, fresh sprouts, and special minced meat. Every spoonful is a different surprise, the texture and layers are incredibly rich. Be sure to stir it quickly so the tofu pudding absorbs all the flavors. One bite, and you're filled with happiness. A bowl of tofu pudding is only a few yuan, super good value. Ice Jelly 🍧: Spicy antidote, a summer must-have After all that spicy food in Leshan, you definitely need some ice jelly to cool down! The ice jelly is crystal clear, smooth like jelly, and topped with all sorts of goodies: sweet brown sugar syrup, soft glutinous rice balls, chewy taro balls, crispy crushed peanuts, and fresh fruit. One bite, and it's cool and refreshing, instantly dispelling the spiciness and leaving you feeling refreshed. Ice jelly is also very affordable, usually only five or six yuan a bowl, super satisfying. Besides these, Leshan, Sichuan has many other delicacies, like wolftooth potatoes 🥔, egg cakes 🥧, cold cakes, and more. Each has its own unique flavor, and the prices are all very reasonable. In Leshan, you don't have to worry about emptying your wallet, just enjoy the joy of food! Besides the food, I also loved the city vibe in Leshan. The pace of life is slow, people are relaxed, and walking through the streets, you can feel the vibrant atmosphere 🎇. During my few days in Leshan, I ate my fill every day and had so much fun.
