Leshan Giant Buddha with River Cruising

#heritageplace The afternoon was dedicated to visiting the Leshan Giant Buddha, and it was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Standing at 71 meters (233 feet) tall, this colossal stone statue, carved into a cliffside between 713 and 803 during the Tang dynasty, left me speechless. To fully appreciate its grandeur, I boarded a river cruise that offers the best vantage point. As the boat gently moved along the water, I was able to take in the Buddha's serene expression and intricate details up close. The craftsmanship and dedication required to create such a masterpiece over 90 years became even more evident. The experience was deeply moving, a humbling reminder of human perseverance and devotion.
