In Hunan, I discovered an ancient village that refused to be "restored."

On the way to the Ten Thousand Horses Galloping scenic spot, I found an almost abandoned small village. The village is built around a villa compound from the early Republic of China, spanning from the Republic of China to the Great Leap Forward and the end of the last century. Looking around, the entire village is in shades of blue-gray, dilapidated and quiet, full of historical traces. This is Kaiyuan Ancient Alley in Lengshuijiang, a village built around the villa of the largest mine owner in the area during the Republic of China.  The almost abandoned village is full of historical charm, and strolling through it is like stepping into the Republic of China and the 1950s and 1960s.
