Guizhou is really beautiful in the off-season! In summary, it was totally worth it. 🥹 🚗 Transportation Take a high-speed train from Guiyang to Kaili, then transfer to a direct bus to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. 🏔️ Itinerary Viewing Platform The best place to enjoy panoramic views and night views of the Miao Village! At dusk, the whole village is lit up, creating a great atmosphere. 🥹 Wind and Rain Bridge The bridge spans the Baishui River and has a pavilion on it. You can take great photos on the riverbank. Xijiang Miao Museum The museum displays Miao historical relics, costumes, musical instruments, etc. You can learn about the history and culture of the Miao people. Gage Ancient Alley The alley is full of ethnic culture. The walls are decorated with exquisite murals, and there are various local snacks. 🍘 Food A local friend recommended that we try duo duo noodles, grilled fish, sour soup fish, and Miao cured meat. The glutinous rice with crispy pork is so delicious! The black pork skewers are also very tasty. You can buy them on the ancient street and enjoy them while walking. 🏨 Accommodation If you have limited time, prioritize Libo Xiaoqikong, Huangguoshu Waterfall, and Qianhu Miao Village. This time, my friend booked Qifengxin Zhanyue near Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. It was a wise choice. The butler helped us with our luggage as soon as we got off the bus. We could enjoy the beautiful view of the Miao Village every day. The photos we took were amazing. 📷 It was so chill to sit on the balcony, enjoy the view, and have afternoon tea. The room was clean and tidy. The simple and elegant Wabi-sabi style was very appealing. There was a beautiful large bathtub by the window. 🛁 I loved it. 😍 🪇 Activities There are resident singers performing on the viewing platform from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm every day. My friend and I each had a drink and enjoyed the music and the view. I still miss it. 😭 The batik project was also interesting. You can draw your own patterns and experience the traditional culture of the Miao people.
