Happy Birthday Uncle @Zakmuk Charcoal House

Last month, for Uncle's birthday, we went to enjoy Korean BBQ to celebrate. We chose a restaurant with good service and food quality, which is worth recommending to friends who like Korean BBQ. Located in Mong Kok, Zakmuk Charcoal House is a stylishly decorated modern Korean BBQ restaurant. The young waiters provided excellent service, leaving a good impression on me. That night, Dad was happy to order HITE Beer for $75 to pair with the BBQ for a chill time. As for me, I chose a refreshing lime soda for $42, which can be made less sweet to suit my taste. After ordering the food, the waiter brought a variety of Korean side dishes, all of which were very delicious, especially the kimchi, which I particularly enjoyed. If you like it, you can add $40 for unlimited tasting. We ordered the 'Spring Stone Seafood Platter' for $1088, and then ordered some other dishes to happily share. The appetizer of the set was a special sea urchin tofu! The smooth tofu was filled with the fresh taste of sea urchin, a nice prelude to the meal. Another appetizer was the complimentary cheese corn, with half-melted cheese wrapped around the sweet corn, making it a delicious treat when eaten hot. The hot stone seafood platter included abalone, queen clams, geoduck, and scallops, among other seafood, all very fresh, which made my seafood-loving heart flutter. The service here was excellent, with someone cooking for us, allowing everyone to comfortably wait for the food to be served. The set included two types of meat, including this Zakmuk sukiyaki beef! The beef was marinated in a sweet sukiyaki sauce, combining unique Japanese and Korean flavors, very appealing. Another dish included beef short ribs and soy sauce pork belly. I tasted the perfectly balanced soy sauce pork belly, which was absolutely delicious after being grilled until the fat was oozing. This was a complimentary Wagyu ribeye cap for following their official Instagram! The quality of the giveaway was also very good, feeling like a great deal. Uncle's family and Dad are also beef enthusiasts, so they ordered extra beef tongue to enjoy! Seeing them relishing it, I knew the quality was exceptional. There was also this beef platter that they exclusively enjoyed, with various types of beef looking very tender and appealing in color. I chose this grilled pork skin for $92! The pork skin was pre-cooked and just needed to be grilled until fragrant. Although it wasn't raw pork skin, it was very tender and tasty after being cooked. I also highly recommend adding the Jeju live eel! Originally priced at $280, it can be purchased for $238 with the set, a very fresh live eel grilled until the skin is crispy and the meat is tender, super fresh and sweet. Finally, the set included this lean shrimp meat stone-grilled rice. The fragrant stone-grilled rice paired with Wagyu and lean shrimp, using heat to bring out all the aromas, providing a perfect end to the meal. This Korean BBQ restaurant is probably the most comfortable one I've tried, and I believe I will be patronizing it again in the near future.
