Scenic Hike At Cataract Gorge

Cataract Gorge is a very easy hike but it takes long to reach the end of the hike, approx about 2-3 hours return hike. This is one of the premier tourist attractions in Launceston, Tasmania with the popular suspension bridge across the basin. Cataract Gorge has many walking tracks which cater to everyone. The gorge provides a wonderful environment for a casual stroll, and also contains a wealth of more advanced tracks with great views that bushwalking enthusiasts are sure to appreciate. Walks like the Zig-zag track, Cataract walk and Bridge walk loop are casual, scenic walks just 5 mins from the CBD. There was a swimming pool there that seems to say its open online but when we went it was close, possibly due to the cold winter months. Plan your trip here as there are couple of things to do and see. For example the Gorge cruise, dining, chairlift and if you are lucky you might see some wildlife in their natural habitat. There is no entrance fee here and also parking is free.
