Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately drawn to the hanging light bulbs, wooden furniture, and sleek industrial design. The atmosphere was casual yet sophisticated. The restaurant operates daily from 5 PM until late, with extended hours on weekends. While there’s no entrance fee, reservations are essential due to its popularity. Once seated, I browsed the menu, which prominently featured dishes made with local Tasmanian ingredients. I was particularly recommended the 'Stonegrill' experience, where you cook your steak on a sizzling volcanic stone heated to 400°C. I ordered the ribeye steak, which came garnished with rosemary. The steak cooked beautifully, retaining its juices and tenderness. The accompanying broccoli, asparagus, and pumpkin were incredibly fresh. My friend opted for the seafood platter, which was generously filled with prawns, mussels, and fried fish, complemented by a flavorful lemon butter sauce. For a travel itinerary, I suggest starting the day with hiking and a chairlift ride at Cataract Gorge, followed by dinner at Cataract on Paterson in the evening. After the meal, you can take a stroll along the nearby Tamar River or explore Tasmanian history at the Queen Victoria Museum to wrap up the day.
