Old Huata Khe Market

Hua Takhe community is located in Lat Krabang district of Bangkok. Although it is far from the city center, it is not difficult to travel there. You can take a train to Hua Takhe train station or take the Airport Rail Link to Lat Krabang station and then take a songthaew to Udomphon fresh market (Soi Lat Krabang 17) and walk into the alley a short distance. Another option is to park your car at Udomphon fresh market and walk across the bridge. There are few visitors to Hua Takhe community, probably because we visited on a weekday, not Saturday or Sunday. The atmosphere was so quiet that we could hear our footsteps on the wooden balcony. Although it is a pity that this community looks quiet due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we can still smell the fragrant grilled chicken from some small restaurants that are still open to provide food for the locals. There is also a chic cafe called Si Yaek Hua Takhe. In addition to the cafe with a nice atmosphere, there is another delicious check-in spot that you shouldn't miss: the machine shop. The reason it got its name is because it is located in front of the only machine shop in the community. Its highlight is the large, firm shrimp dumplings at an affordable price.
