Discovering the history of the Salinas 🇮🇨

The Salinas de Janubio is the largest salt production facility in the Canary Islands, located on the southwest coast of Lanzarote, Spain. The salt gardens were built in 1895 and are terraced to take advantage of the natural tidal pools in the area. The Salinas de Janubio is a unique place where visitors can learn about the process of salt production and the history of the island. The site also offers guided tours that provide deeper insights into the Salinas and their history, as well as tastings of “Flor de Sal” and “Sabores de Janubio”. The Salinas de Janubio is open to visitors from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 11 am to 5 pm. The entrance fee varies based on age and residency status. Visitors can also enjoy a meal at the Mirador de Las Salinas restaurant, which offers stunning views of the surrounding area. #christmastrip
