Many taxi drivers there call out, "Going to Lantian?" The car leaves when it's full with 4 people, 10 yuan per person. The road is good, and it's a 20-minute drive. (There's also a bus at Fangzhicheng subway station, as shown in the picture. Take bus No. 904 to Liumin Road South Entrance Station. The journey takes over an hour.) 2. Go to Lantian Passenger Transport Station and take a taxi to Shuilian Nunnery for about 20 yuan. 💗Other tips: Shuilian Nunnery was originally the Shuilian Hall within Wuzhen Temple. It was first built during the Kaihuang period of Emperor Wen of Sui. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, a large number of colored clay sculptures were created, which have been preserved to this day. These sculptures integrate various artistic techniques such as relief carving, round carving, bas-relief, and openwork carving. The main hall houses over 3,700 clay sculptures, depicting the life of Sakyamuni in the form of comic strips. It is known as a "gem of clay sculpture"! You can take photos, but don't use flash (to protect the cultural relics). Admission to Shuilian Nunnery is free. There aren't many people, and the scenic area is quite small. It takes about 20 minutes to walk around. An hour is enough for taking photos and a leisurely stroll. The hanging clay Buddha statues are in the last hall, and the visual effect on site is stunning.
