"Camar Resort Langkawi: A Pool Lover’s Paradise with Direct Lagoon Access"

#langkawitrip CAMAR RESORT LANGKAWI Stay Dates: 28/2 - 1/3/2025 Price: Roughly around RM350 per night (purchased from trip.com) Room Type: Lagoon Room CHECK-IN: The check-in process was slightly delayed because we upgraded our room from Pool View to Lagoon as we wanted a room right in front of the swimming pool. While waiting, we were served welcome drinks and received excellent service from the hotel staff. A deposit of RM100 was required. ROOM: Initially, we booked the Pool View room. Turns out, if you want a room right in front of the pool, you need to get the Lagoon room. Luckily, there was availability, so we upgraded. The Pool View rooms are on the upper floors, while the Lagoon room opens directly to the pool. The bed faces the pool too. Best part — there’s even a bathtub! Too lazy to write a long story, so just watch the room tour video below. Overall, the room is top-notch in terms of layout, comfort, and amenities (it has both air-conditioning and a fan). ACTIVITIES: This hotel is located at Pantai Tengah, which is quieter and more private compared to Pantai Cenang. It has its own private beach — just a short 5-minute walk away. You can swim at the beach but be cautious of jellyfish. The view is amazing! Pantai Cenang isn’t far from here either, so finding food, doing water activities, or shopping isn’t an issue. Camar Resort boasts the longest swimming pool in Langkawi! So it's really wide and spacious! There’s also a large kids' pool — so swim to your heart’s content! Other hotel facilities like a gym are also available. DOWNSIDES: The hotel doesn’t directly face the sea, so the landscape view isn’t that attractive due to an empty, unused plot of land in front. If you get the Lagoon room, it’s okay since it faces the pool, but the upper-floor rooms don’t have great views. Hopefully, the hotel can do something about it. CHECK-OUT: Checkout was smooth and easy. No complaints! OVERALL: All in all, this hotel is still a great choice for a holiday in Langkawi. The pool is definitely the highlight — big and satisfying! Hahaha. Definitely will come back again!
