The St. Regis Langkawi||| ✅Room type: Upgraded from a suite to a water villa, only 4 in total ✅Room: Feels a bit like the Maldives, but the beach is muddy, not sandy, so the sea isn't clear and blue. The dark sand should have a lot of shells and oysters for you to collect. The living room has floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, with both sea and mountain views. The minibar drinks and snacks are charged. There is a pool and a microwave in the cabinet. There is an ironing room at the entrance. The double-sided cloakroom is large, with slippers and a beach bag and hat for use in the hotel. The bedroom has a large bed and dressing table. The bathroom is large with a round bathtub, but the shower head is not very good. The overall decor and maintenance are average. The faucet turns too far, the towel rail fell off, the manual curtains are hard to pull, and the drawers are hard to open. No smart toilet or Dyson. A bit disappointed with the hardware. The outdoor pool water is not warm at this time of year. The floor is hot, but the water is cold. The wind is too strong to open the parasol. There is a small door to the sea, but the water quality is not good enough to swim in. You can only lie on the sofa and enjoy the sea view. ✅Welcome gift: Beautifully shaped chocolate, longan, and yogurt. Paints and a drawing book for children. ✅Amenities: Body lotion is hard to apply. Children's amenities, but no children's slippers or bathrobes. ✅Turndown service: Room cleaning and amenities replenished. ✅Pool: The main pool is beautifully landscaped. There are many lounge chairs on the beach, with sunscreen provided. There is some water sports equipment on the beach, which is said to be free to use, but I didn't try it or see anyone else using it. The beach is okay. ✅Gym: Large with lots of equipment and a dedicated yoga room. ✅There is a champagne night ceremony in the lobby every day at 18:30. There is a fire show to warm up. The guy today cut the champagne with 3 sabers. Everyone present can taste a glass of champagne for free. I saw someone mixing it with 7-Up. ✅The lobby staff are very talkative. We talked about the stay, the restaurant, and durian. They gave me a voucher for the airport lounge. Overall, it was worth it and I was satisfied.
