Wat Chamdevi, Lamphun

Wat Chamadevi, or as locals generally call it, Wat Ku Kut, is an ancient temple that is more than a thousand years old. King Mahantayot and King Anantayot, the sons of Queen Chamadevi, ordered the craftsmen of Lavo to build this temple to offer Phra Phring to their mother (Queen Chamadevi). The Chamadevi Chedi, a chedi built in the style of Bodh Gaya in India, is prominently enshrined in the temple. For those who are into religious rites, I recommend it. It is beautiful and looks very sacred. Come and ask for blessings. The sculptures are still complete and the murals are beautiful. Each side of the chedi has 15 Buddha images in the blessing posture, totaling 60 images. Inside the chedi are the relics of Queen Chamadevi, the first ruler of Hariphunchai.
