Visit beautiful temples

Wat Sri Rong Muang, formerly known as Wat Tha Khanoi Burma, is another beautiful Burmese temple in Lampang. It was built in 1903 by a Burmese tycoon who came to do logging in Lampang. It was built by Burmese craftsmen from Mandalay and took about 7 years to complete. Inside, there is interesting Burmese art, such as the chapel made of teak wood and a layered roof in Burmese style. There are stencils on zinc used to decorate the gable and eaves. The wooden pillars in the chapel are decorated with multi-colored glass. Originally, Wat Sri Rong Muang had both a large chapel and a small chapel. There were 9 small chapels, but now all of the small chapels have collapsed, leaving only the large chapel, which is the main chapel of the temple.
