Lampang, a picturesque tourist destination near Chiang Mai in northern Thailand

Lampang, recommended as a travel destination near Chiang Mai, is the third largest city in northern Thailand. I visited without a plan and had no expectations, but Lampang was like receiving an unexpected gift. I like Thailand and have visited many places, but Lampang's picturesque scenery is particularly memorable and counts among my top ten. The weather may have played a part! The horse-drawn carriage galloping along the road was ridiculous...! It was a quiet but fairytale-like place that flowed gently!
