Ban Saonak, Lampang

Baan Sao Nak is a traditional Lanna-style teak house with a raised foundation that is over a hundred years old. It is located in Lampang Province. The name Baan Sao Nak comes from the northern dialect, which means “many pillars”, meaning that there are 116 teak pillars supporting the house. This house is a museum of art and culture of Lampang Province. The interior is decorated with antique furniture. The original owner was a Burmese who settled in Thailand and was the ancestor of the Chanthawirot family. The house is open to visitors and has been used for various events such as weddings, parties, film shoots, and many other events.
