Worth a day trip from London

🏠This 800-year old village is very quaint and beautiful. It is famous as a filming site for Harry Porter and Pride and Prejudice movie. Definitely not a miss if you are Harry Porter fan. The abbey remained a nunnery until the suppression of Roman Catholic institutions in England in the 16th century; it was then sold to Sir William Sharington who converted the convent into a residence where he and his family lived. The village is a beautiful to visit in any season and still looks exactly like it did 200 years ago. Get lost and wandering around here for plenty if photo opportunities. Getting here-You can get a train from Paddington to Chippenham and from there take a bus to Lacock #ldninsider
