Fairy Tale Canyon

Location: Located on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan, a 2-hour drive from the southern bus station of Karakol. Geological landforms: The canyon features a variety of geological landforms, including colorful Danxia landforms, earth forests, and stone forests. The colors on the cliffs are as enchanting as a fairy tale world. Travel tips: Open maps.me, first go to the High viewpoint of layered rocks & hills, and return after seeing the "Cockscomb Rock." Then climb to the Low viewpoint. Those with good skills can go directly down the steep slope to the bottom of the valley, or return to the bottom of the valley and go to the best viewing point between the earth forest and Danxia landform area along the path.
