Accommodation Review: Final Hotel Unboxing Urban Hotel Kyoto Gojo Premium アーバンホテル京都五条プレミアム Stayed for four nights at a total cost of NT$4,301! A deluxe double room with six pings of space, complete with a hot spring bath and sauna. On weekdays, a single night without breakfast costs less than NT$1,100—what an incredible deal! And it's not located in some remote countryside. It's situated between Shijo and Kyoto Station, closer to Horikawa Gojo. It's near Nishi Honganji Temple, about a 10-minute walk from Gojo Subway Station, and a 15-20 minute walk to the bustling Shijo area. Perhaps due to the sudden rain soaking me and the lack of other guests at the time, the front desk staff kindly allowed me to check in early and even arranged a corner room on a high floor. Although the Kyoto Tower isn't visible, the high-floor view is still quite nice, offering mountain and cityscape views. The hotel is a nine-story old building but underwent renovations in 2020, significantly upgrading its facilities. The overall ambiance is spacious, bright, and comfortable. The hot spring bath is large and clean, and there are also spa and sauna rooms—very enjoyable. The only downside is the reception area, which feels a bit low-end. However, given the incredibly affordable price, it's hard to complain. Waking up to the stunning scenery outside the window in the morning makes it all worth it!
