Kyoto's Cherry Blossoms

Kyoto can be considered a holy land for cherry blossom viewing. This time, I was lucky with the timing and felt like a cherry blossom aristocrat. The most breathtaking sight was the night cherry blossoms at To-ji Temple, where the blooming flowers and lighting complemented each other perfectly, creating an astonishingly beautiful scene. The most delightful surprise was the cherry blossoms at Maruyama Park. I was just wandering around and walked up from Yasaka Shrine, only to discover a whole new world filled with cherry blossoms covering the mountains and fields.
