Recommended destinations for February! It's been a long time since I last visited Kansai, and I wonder how beautiful it is in winter and early spring. If you're curious too, why not explore it with me? 📆Itinerary: Day 1: Kifune Shrine - Mount Kurama - Kurama-dera Temple - Kurama Onsen Day 2: Itohkyuemon - Byodoin Temple - Uji Park - Uji Shrine & Ujigami Shrine - Tale of Genji Museum - Uji Bridge & Uji Day 3: Kitano Ijinkan - Nunobiki Herb Gardens - Anpanman Museum - Mosaic Museum - Kobe Port Tower - Sannomiya Center Street 🚗Transportation: Take JR and buses to each attraction 🌟Highlights: ✅Kifune Shrine: One of the most beautiful shrines in Japan, Kifune Shrine in Kyoto is the head shrine. The red lanterns on both sides of the main shrine path are especially dreamy under the snow, making it a great photo spot. ✅Mount Kurama: A sacred mountain said to be protected by Tengu, and a filming location for Detective Conan. It is only 584 meters above sea level, and you can take a cable car up the mountain for about JPY 200. ✅Byodoin Temple: A World Heritage Site, known locally as a Pure Land garden. The Phoenix Hall is famous, and you can take a panoramic photo of the entire Byodoin Temple from the opposite side. ✅Kitano Ijinkan: A Western-style neighborhood in Asia. There are many fun places to visit along the street, such as the Satan's Chair, which is said to grant wishes, and the Mysterious Consulate. ✅Kobe Anpanman Museum: A great place for family trips. It has two floors, with the first floor mainly selling merchandise and the second floor being the museum. The museum has 13 areas, bringing classic scenes to life. 📌Travel tips: ⭕️Try the water fortune-telling at Kifune Shrine. It costs JPY 200, and you can put the paper fortune in water to reveal the words. You can scan the code to listen to the fortune (in Japanese), which is quite interesting. ⭕️Kurama-dera Temple near Mount Kurama is also an important temple in Kyoto. You can also relax at Kurama Onsen. Enjoying the snow while soaking in the outdoor hot spring is so relaxing. ⭕️You must try matcha when visiting Uji. As you walk through the small town, you'll see a tea shop every few steps. Matcha parfaits are also beautiful and delicious, sweet but not greasy, and worth trying. ⭕️The slides representing various Anpanman characters in the museum are especially popular with children, and there are exciting song and dance shows every day. Anpanman will also be there to interact with the children! ⭕️Kitano Ijinkan is like a small World Expo, where you can see various national pavilions, such as the Sherlock Holmes-themed British Pavilion and the art-themed French Pavilion, which are fascinating.
