The leaves change color at different times in different areas, with the leaves in the mountains changing first and the leaves on the plains changing later. 🍁 Classic maple leaf viewing spots 1️⃣ Kiyomizu-dera Temple Kiyomizu-dera Temple is the most iconic attraction in Kyoto. The wooden platform is surrounded by maple leaves, and the view of Kyoto from the platform is spectacular. Maple leaf highlights: Special lighting at night, with the maple leaves and temple lights complementing each other. Opening hours: 6:00–18:00; special night opening requires a separate ticket.
